Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), VSSC, Thiruvananthapuram is organizing a Space Pavilion at Carmel CMI School, Shornur.  Dr. S. Ramakrishnan, Director, VSSC will inaugurate the Pavilion and interact with the students on Wednesday, 15th January, 2014 at 10.00 a.m. To commemorate the event,  a competition is organized for the students from 6th to 12th standards.

What to do for the competition:

Just collect “mangalyan” news cuttings  from  different  newspapers   regarding       its 1. Preparation, 2. Launching and 3. about its journey to Mars reported up to December 31. The news cuttings should be pasted in A4 size paper and make it a book form and send it by post or in person to reach Carmel CMI School, Kallippadam, Shoranur, 679 122, Ph. 0466 2220002, on or before 7th January, 2014.

The norms:

(1)    No registration fee.
(2)    Category I: 6th to 9th standards.
(3)    Category II:10th to 12th standards.
(4)    The best three in each category will be given cash awards.
(5)    There will be 25 consolation prizes in each category.
(6)    Everybody gets participation certificate.
(7)    No limit for the participation from each school.

The prizes will be distributed on January 15th 2014 at 10.00 a.m
